Philosophy
The primary goal for the Thornton Academy Youth Football Camp is to build a sense of continuity, consistency, and pride throughout the entire football program. All participants will be exposed to proper fundamental skills, techniques, and terminology used throughout the scheme of football played in the community. Individual attention will be given to each camper, and the instruction level will be geared to all age groups attending the camp.
Registration
Register online or mail a $50 check along with the application form by July 31st. Checks are non-refundable after this date. On-site registration will be $60 and begins at 4:15 p.m. on August 3rd. Scholarships are available
The camp will be held on the campus of Thornton Academy. Thornton Academy is located on Main Street (Route 1) in Saco. Its accessibility from the Maine Turnpike or from Route 1 will make it convenient for all participants.

Former members of the Thornton Academy Varsity Football Team will assist the camp staff in
demonstration.
Instructors
The coaches of the Thornton Academy Youth Football Camp are all coaches with experience in dealing with young athletes of all ages. They have proven their effectiveness in developing outstanding individual performers and winning attitudes. Our instructors’ goal is to teach aspiring young athletes how to properly play the game of football.

Instruction
The camp will run a 1.5 hour sessions each evening. A 10-minute warm-up period will start the session and equal time will then be devoted to both offense and defense. The camp offers the camper a chance to work at the position of his choice, both offensively and defensively.
Equipment
